I guess reports of the demise of the eastern cougar in the 1880's were overblown.
MNR planted a bunch some years back. I think rumours of their extinction in the area were somewhat premature.
ReplyDeleteProbably only moderately more of a concern to wilderness folks than a bear. Still, good to be aware. Probably go down easier than a bear too if you had to shoot in self-preservation.
